Wait, Hurt's listing his district office as his campaign office? Are Virginia's ethics laws so weak that members of the General Assembly can run for higher office from their district offices?
This is silly. Virginia legislators receive something like $18,000 per year for their work. Just because he calls it his "district office" doesn't mean it's paid for entirely (or even in part) by the Commonwealth. Most all of the delegates and senators who are lawyers use their law offices as the point of contact for legislative purposes. I think Watkins uses his office for dual purposes in downtown Appo, as well. What's your agenda here?
